If you suspect that your Magnum sensor may be malfunctioning or has
been damaged it is easy to check this yourself with a multi or Ohm-meter.
Check the resistance between:
Pin 1 and Pin 2 (should be less then 20 Ohm)
Pin 3 and sensor body (should be less the 1 Ohm)
Pin 4 and electrode 1 (should be less then 1 Ohm)
Pin 5 and electrode 2 (should be less then 1 Ohm)
Pin 3 and Pin 4 (should be infinite)
Pin 3 and Pin 5 (should be infinite)
Pin 4 and Pin 5 (should be infinite)
electrode 1 and electrode 2 (should be infinite)
electrode 1 and sensor body (should be infinite)
electrode 2 and sensor body (should be infinite)
Pin 1 and Pins 3,4 and 5 respectively (should be infinite)
Pin 2 and Pins 3,4 and 5 respectively (should be infinite)
If you get results other then those above either the sensor or the sensor
cable is damaged and the whole instrument should be returned to
the factory for repairs.
